WHO WE ARE

A STRUCTURED PATHWAY TO RESTORATION

Warriors Center exists to move men and women from crisis to lasting restoration through structured residential recovery, spiritual formation, workforce development, and reintegration support. We begin with rescue, but we are committed to transformation.

OUR WORK

For over 25 years, Warriors Center has walked alongside men, women, and veterans facing homelessness or substance abuse, guiding them through a structured progression from emergency shelter to residential recovery, workforce readiness, and long-term stability.

IMMEDIATE CARE & STABILIZATION

We begin by meeting immediate needs through emergency shelter, meals, clothing, and safety. This first step provides the stability necessary to begin the journey toward restoration.

RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY

Our residential recovery program provides structured, Christ centered formation for men and women seeking freedom from addiction and life controlling challenges. Through accountability, community, and daily discipline, residents rebuild their lives with purpose and direction.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & LIFE SKILLS

Through job training, employment partnerships, financial literacy, and practical life skills, residents gain the tools necessary for sustained independence. Meaningful work and personal responsibility are essential to long term restoration.

REINTEGRATION & LONG- TERM STABILITY

Through transitional living, continued accountability, and strong community partnerships, residents step from structured recovery into independent living. We remain committed to long term stability and restored citizenship.

OUR MOTIVATION

Our work is grounded in Christ’s command to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We believe every person bears the image of God and deserves not only compassion in crisis, but a clear pathway toward restoration.

David Vincent, Founder & CEO

OUR HISTORY

Warriors Center was born from the remarkable life story of our founder, David Vincent. As a child, David endured severe abuse and hardship. By his early adulthood, years of addiction, violence, and criminal behavior had led him into a life headed toward prison. It was there, on a cold jail floor, that he encountered the transforming love and mercy of Jesus Christ. That moment marked the beginning of a complete restoration of his life.

Determined to help others find the same freedom he had discovered, David began leading Bible studies, mentoring troubled youth, and reaching out to those experiencing homelessness in Memphis. What began as a personal calling soon grew into a structured effort to help men rebuild their lives through faith, accountability, and disciplined support.

In October 1999, David opened his home to men in need and partnered with Paul Brown and Dustin Prewitt to formally establish the Warriors Center. Together, they developed a Christ-centered residential program designed not only to provide relief, but to create lasting transformation through structure, spiritual formation, and responsibility.

What started with one home has grown into a multi-site recovery and reintegration ministry serving men and women across the Mid-South. While the story began with one man’s redemption, the mission has matured into a structured pathway of restoration that continues to change lives every day.
