VOLUNTEER CORPS
SERVING THE MISSION • STRENGTHENING THE WORK • HELPING LIVES TRANSFORM
|
WHY VOLUNTEERS MATTER
The mission of the Warriors Center is built on relationships, daily discipline, and a community that refuses to give up on people who are rebuilding their lives. Transformation does not happen through programs alone. It happens through people who show up, invest their time, and help create an environment where change is truly possible.
Volunteers strengthen that mission in powerful ways. They help extend the reach of our staff, support the daily life of our campuses, assist with projects and events, and create opportunities for encouragement and connection for the men and women in our programs.
Simply put, volunteers help the Warriors Center do more than we could ever accomplish alone. Their time, energy, and commitment help multiply the impact of this ministry and make it possible for more lives to be restored.
A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER
The Warriors Center was built on a simple belief: lives can change when people encounter truth, discipline, and a community that refuses to give up on them. Volunteers play an important role in helping create that environment.
In this short video, our founder David explains why volunteers matter, how they strengthen the mission of the Warriors Center, and how people from the community can become part of the work of life transformation.
THE VOLUNTEER CORPS
Because volunteers play such an important role in the life of the Warriors Center, we created the Warriors Center Volunteer Corps. The Corps is a structured volunteer community made up of men and women who want to actively support the mission of life transformation taking place across our campuses.
Members of the Volunteer Corps serve in a variety of ways depending on their interests, availability, and skills. Volunteers may assist with things such as:
SPECIAL FORCES
Within the Volunteer Corps, a smaller group of committed volunteers serves in a leadership capacity known as Special Forces. These volunteers take on additional responsibility and play a more direct role in supporting the mission and the people we serve.
Members of Special Forces are trusted volunteers who demonstrate consistency, maturity, and a deep commitment to the work of the Warriors Center. In addition to serving in practical ways, they may help guide volunteers, support staff initiatives, and invest relationally in the lives of residents as they pursue lasting life change.
VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS
The work of the Warriors Center is important and requires consistency, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Volunteers are an extension of the mission and are expected to represent the values of the organization in both their actions and their interactions with others.
