Get Involved
Become a Volunteer
Serve the mission on a clear path of growing trust, from your first project to walking alongside residents.
Why Volunteers Matter
More Than We Could Do Alone
Transformation does not happen through programs alone. It happens through people who show up, invest their time, and help create an environment where change is possible.
Volunteers extend the reach of our staff, support daily life on our campuses, help with projects and events, and bring encouragement and connection to the men and women in our programs.
Our volunteer program is built on one principle: the more access a volunteer has to residents, the more accountability comes with it. That protects residents, staff, volunteers, and the mission, while giving every volunteer a real path to deeper involvement.

Three Levels of Service
A Path of Growing Trust
Everyone begins as a General Volunteer. Deeper levels are earned through consistent service, character, and additional screening and training.
General Volunteers
Serve in structured, staff-led activities. This is the easy first step for individuals, churches, businesses, and civic groups.
Ways to serve
- Meal service
- Outreach and community events
- Facility and campus projects
- Donation sorting
- Event support
Warrior Corps
The core relational volunteers of each center: regularly present, known by staff, and trusted to engage with residents.
What it takes
- At least 60 days of service as a General Volunteer
- A reference from staff
- Application, background check, and interview
- Monthly onboarding training
- Approval by the center’s Executive Director
Volunteer Chaplain Corps
Our highest level of service. Chaplains support the spiritual formation and discipleship of residents alongside staff.
What it takes
- 3 to 6 months of faithful Warrior Corps service
- Strong references and spiritual maturity
- Application, background check, and interview
- Approval by our Chaplain Approval Group
- Formal commissioning

Standards and Boundaries
Boundaries That Protect Everyone
Our residents are in one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. Clear boundaries protect them, and they protect you.
Volunteers support the program. They never operate apart from it or in parallel to it, and staff keep final authority over every decision about residents, regardless of a volunteer’s level or tenure.
Every volunteer receives these standards, and Warrior Corps and Chaplain Corps members are trained in them through real-life scenarios before they serve.
Every Volunteer Agrees To
- Never give or loan money to residents, or accept money or significant gifts from them
- No rides, off-site visits, or one-on-one meetings without prior written approval
- Never offer residents jobs, housing, or business deals while they are in the program
- Keep everything about residents confidential, online and in person
- No romantic relationships with residents
- Report any safety concern to staff immediately
- Arrive free of alcohol and drugs, and bring no weapons on property
